Coats-Erwin rallies in softball

Coats-Erwin Middle School rallied with six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat visiting Harnett Central 14-13 in softball Thursday.

Ava Blackman went the distance for the win for the Falcons (4-0), recording three strikeouts.

Kimah Warren led the Falcons with four hits, three doubles and a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored.

Gracie Byrd had three hits, including two doubles, one RBI and three runs scored. Tristan Ennis had three hits, including a double, one RBI and two runs scored. Carleigh Hemby had two hits, one RBI and one run scored.

Zeah Ennis had two hits and two runs scored. Ashari Watlington had one hit, one RBI and one run scored. Blackman had one hit and two runs scored. Madison Howlett had one hit. Caylon Avery had one hit. Madison Bass scored once.

The Falcons host Shughart on April 9.
