Dunn Ponytails capture district title

The Dunn Ponytails (12-and-under) All-Stars went unbeaten in the district softball tournament in Carthage, taking the championship with a 4-1 win over Hope Mills on Sunday.

Dunn scored three runs in the final inning to edge Moore County, 3-2, to reach the deciding game.

Dunn won 6-1 in its first meeting with Hope Mills.

Dunn outscored its opponents, 52-7, over the course of the tournament.
