Middle school volleyball team goes 22-0 with SEMSAC tournament title

The Cape Fear Christian Academy middle school volleyball team completed a 22-0 season with a 2-0 win over visiting Liberty Christian of Fayetteville on Monday.

CFCA got out to a substantial lead in winning the first set, 25-10.

The Eagles overcame an early deficit to take the second set, 25-12.

Eighth-graders on the CFCA team included Ella John Dupree, Harmony Horne, Madeline Brocious and Aubree Bass.

Seventh-grade team members were Jada Johnson and Larah Tripp.

The sixth-grade group included Kaedyn Moran, Caroline Honeycutt and Jessica Talley.

Fifth-grade team members were Maddi Grace Herring, Lily Kate Dupree, Margaret Motschenbacker and Aubrey Horne.

The Eagles were coached by Lolita Tripp.
