The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has extended its fall seasons.

The move comes after issues resulting from Hurricane Florence impacted scheduling for a number of schools.

Football season will be extended by one week. The last regular-season games have been reset for Nov. 9.

Seeding for the state football playoffs will take place Nov. 10. The playoffs will be pushed back one week.

State championship games will be played Dec. 14-15 at sites to be determined.

Adjustments will be made in other fall sports as well.
