Ray, Robinson lead Jags in track

A second-place finish by senior Zachary Ray in the 500-meter and a third-place effort by classmate Isai’as Robinson in the 55-meter led Overhills to a tie for 10th in the team standings in the NCHSAA 4-A indoor track meet at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem on Saturday (Feb. 10).

Ray’s time was one minute, 5.74 seconds while Robinson was clocked in 6.43 seconds.

Robinson, sophomore Jovon Langley, senior Will Mabry and Ray were eighth in the 4×200 relay in 1:34.18.

Overhills had 15 points in the team standings.

Senior Jamari Forde-Gordon competed in the long jump. His leap of 18 feet, nine inches was 24th in that event.
