Cape Fear Christian Academy hosted Village Christian of Fayetteville in Sandhills Athletic Conference junior varsity and varsity volleyball matches on Tuesday.
CFCA remained unbeaten on the junior varsity level with a 2-0 (25-20, 25-13) win.
The Eagles prevailed 3-1 in the varsity contest by scores of 25-14, 20-25, 25-22 and 25-13.
“It was an offensively driven game,” said CFCA coach Brittany Ter Meer.
Reyna Johnson had 16 kills and Claire Parker finished with eight.
Anslee McLamb led the Eagles with four aces. Talisha McNeill tallied four blocks.
“Overall, the team came together and was able to overcome some mental barriers,” Ter Meer said. “I think the girls are starting to become more of a family. That’s helping in the overall team chemistry and that’s showing in how they play.
“I’m really excited to see how this last half of the season is going to go.”
CFCA has a full evening of volleyball on Thursday. The middle school team plays Berean Baptist at 4 p.m. before the JV and varsity host Fayetteville Christian.
