Visiting Fuquay-Varina took a 59-20 varsity football victory at neighboring Harnett Central on Friday night.
The Bengals led 19-6 at the end of the first quarter and were on top 39-6 at the half as they improved to 3-0.
Central’s first quarter score came after Brandon Booker returned a kickoff to Fuquay’s 8-yard line to set up a touchdown pass from Hayden Smith to Kasey Perkins.
The Trojans (0-3) tallied again in the third quarter on a 10-yard run by Booker.
Smith’s second TD toss went to Jackson Jones, covering 10 yards, in the fourth quarter.
