Cape Fear Christian Academy topped visiting Fayetteville Christian, 6-3, in girls tennis on Wednesday.

The Eagles had defeated the Warriors, 9-0, on Friday at Arnette Park in Fayetteville.

“I believe we were overconfident,” said CFCA coach Page Jackson after remaining unbeaten against Sandhills Athletic Conference opponents.

Singles winners for the Eagles were Ella John Dupree at No. 1, Nina Sauer at No. 2, Karson Hamilton at No. 4 and Savannah Autry at No. 5. The Warriors won two matches on tiebreakers.

Dupree and Sauer teamed to win the No. 1 doubles. Aubrey Jackson and Hamilton won the No. 2 doubles, 8-0.
