Cape Fear Christian Academy took an 86-60 nonconference varsity boys basketball win at Lee Christian on Tuesday night as Deshawn Woods had 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Jakson Cullen had 18 points and eight assists as the Eagles improved to 4-3 going into a home game against United Faith on Saturday at 1 p.m.

David Okropiridze had 16 points and six rebounds for CFCA. Reid Miller finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Trevor McLamb added six points and six rebounds.

The Eagles had topped the Falcons, 68-62, at CFCA on Nov. 18 as the visitors had a 28-10 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter after Eagles coach Dwain Ellis had cleared his bench.

“Our reserves played much better tonight,” Ellis said Tuesday.

CFCA won the junior varsity boys game at Lee, 68-28.
