BUIES CREEK — Luana Serranho scored a career-high 26 points to lead Campbell to a 69-51 Big South Conference women’s basketball win over Hampton on Monday night at Gore Arena.

Faith Price added 17 points and Taya Bolden had 16 rebounds for the Lady Camels (13-3, 7-0 Big South), who extended their winning streak to 10 games.

Nylah Young led Hampton (6-8, 2-2) with 12 points and eight boards.

Serranho knocked down seven of 10 threes for the Camels, who made 10 of 24 beyond the arc. Campbell shot 39 percent overall (20-51) and made 19 of 24 (.792) from the line.

Campbell finished with a 43-29 advantage on the boards and a 13-3 edge in second-chance points.

The Camels held Hampton to 33 percent shooting in the final half, 35 percent (18-56) on the night. Hampton made three of six threes and 12 of 21 (.571) from the stripe while dropping its second-straight game.

Serranho scored 15 first-half points on five of six threes and the Camels led 29-26 at the break. Campbell shot 43.5 percent (10-23) in the opening half, while Hampton made just 36 percent (10-28) of its attempts.

The Camels return to action Wednesday at Presbyterian at 6 p.m.
