Cape Fear Christian Academy’s varsity basketball teams were eliminated in the third round of the NCISAA 1-A playoffs on Saturday.

Host Grace Christian of Sanford pulled away for a 103-73 win over the CFCA boys.

The CFCA girls were defeated, 85-11, by a tall and talented team at Victory Christian in Charlotte.

The Eagle boys finished 15-12 despite 27 points from Zeke Brock and 23 by DeShawn Woods.

The CFCA boys were within 41-34 at the half, but Grace’s size and depth as well as foul problems for the Eagles were telling factors as the game progressed.

Cailee Ray had six points on a pair of 3-pointers for the CFCA girls, who finished 12-10. Trinity Olive made a three and Perri Caroline Ennis sank two free throws.
