Nine athletes in fall sports from Cape Fear Christian Academy earned all-state honors from the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association following the 2022 state playoffs.
Tripp Selph, Caden Scarborough and Jackson Breslin were recognized from CFCA’s 1-A state champion soccer team on the 17-player all-state unit.
Ella John Dupree, Aubrey Jackson and Nina Sauer from the Eagles were among nine players who made all-state in girls tennis. CFCA won the Sandhills Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles before a run to a runner-up finish in the NCISAA tournament.
In volleyball, the Eagles won the regular season and tournament championships in the Mid-Carolina Conference before reaching the NCISAA semifinals. Abby Hobbs, Bailey Dorman and Rhyeigh Horne made the 11-player all-state team.
