Cape Fear Christian Academy learned its bracket placements for the NCISAA 1-A boys and girls basketball tournaments on Sunday.
The Lady Eagles are seeded No. 8 and will host United Faith on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
The CFCA boys got a first-round bye and play at Lawrence on Thursday at 7 p.m.
The Eagles are looking to bounce back from losses at Crossroads Christian on Friday night in the finals of the Mid-Carolina Conference tournament.
The boys lost 93-52. Zeke Brock had 18 points for CFCA (13-15). Caden Scarborough and Trevor McLamb added seven points each.
Crossroads won the girls game, 66-32, despite 10 points from Ella John Dupree. Glenna McLamb had eight points for the Lady Eagles (8-13) and Perri Caroline Ennis scored six.
Individual honors
Dwain Ellis of CFCA was named Co-Coach of the Year in boys basketball in the MCC.
Brock and Dupree received plaques as Most Outstanding Player of the boys and girls tournaments, respectively.
Brock and Brandon Surles were all-conference from the CFCA boys. Dupree and Ennis made all-conference from the Lady Eagles.
All-tournament selections from the boys included Brock, McLamb and Surles.
The girls all-tournament selections were Dupree, Ennis and McLamb.
