Visiting Lawrence Academy was overpowering in a 16-0 varsity baseball win at Cape Fear Christian Academy on Monday.

“Errors made it worse than it should have been,” said Eagles coach Bill Parrish. ” … We know what we have to do if we want to be successful at the state level.”

CFCA (1-1) was held hitless, but loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth before Lawrence (1-0) got the final out to end the game.

The Eagles are scheduled to meet Wilson Christian on Friday at 4 p.m. in the Patriot Invitational at Faith Christian in Rocky Mount.
