Cape Fear Christian Academy followed up a 19-0 no-hit triumph over Lee Christian on Tuesday with an 11-1 Senior Day conquest of Cresset Christian of Durham on Friday in a pair of Mid-Carolina Conference varsity baseball home games.
Fisher Stancil and Cole Godwin combined for the no-hitter on Tuesday as a 17-run second inning helped put the Falcons away in the third inning on the mercy rule.
The Eagles recognized seniors Zeke Brock, Jakson Cullen and Godwin on Friday.

CFCA hosts a doubleheader with Crossroads (6-5, 3-0 MCC) on Monday beginning at 3:30 p.m. Both games will be five innings with the completion of a suspended game scheduled first. Play will resume with one out in the bottom of the first with CFCA leading 1-0 in a matchup that was halted due to rain on March 22.
Vs. Lee
Taylor Smith had five RBIs.
Brock led off with a double to left in the first and stole third. He scored on an error on a ball put in play by Stancil. A ground out by Conner Parrish brought Stancil in.
Smith had a bases-loaded single in a 17-run second inning and a bases loaded walk. Stancil had a 3-run triple. Godwin had an RBI triple. Cullen had a 2-run triple and Chris Crume contributed a 2-run single. Mason Gregeory had a hit and scored two runs.
The Eagles drew 12 walks and totaled eight stolen bases.
Stancil had four strikeouts in two innings.
Godwin fanned two in the top of the third.
Vs. Cresset
CFCA improved to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in the MCC with a boost from six runs in the fourth inning.
The Eagles grabbed an early lead after Smith was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the first. He stole second and third before scoring on a single by Stancil.
Parrish had an RBI double after Stancil stole second. Parrish stole third and came home when Godwin got aboard on an error.
CFCA expanded its lead to 5-0 with two runs in the third after a leadoff double by Stancil. Godwin was hit by a pitch and Crume ran for him. Eli Burns brought in both runners with a single to center.
Brock had a 2-run single in the fourth. Stancil had a sacrifice fly and a run scored on a ground out by Burns. aggressive baserunning produced two more runs.
Godwin started on the mound and went three innings. He allowed one hit and no runs while walking three and striking out six. Brock pitched one and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one. Cullen did a pitching stint before Smith came in to get the last out with a strikeout.
Brock and Stancil each had two hits and two RBIs. Smith had four stolen bases while Stancil and Parrish each stole three. CFCA had 14 steala total.
Seniors
“Special day,” said Eagles coach Bill Parrish regarding the seniors. “Bittersweet when you think about them not being with us next year. But they and we are not done yet. I’m looking forward to their leadership and talent leading us through the rest of the regular season and into tournament play.”
