Cape Fear Christian Academy’s soccer and volleyball teams visited Crossroads Christian of Henderson for Mid-Carolina Conference matches on Friday.
The Eagles swept in soccer with a 3-2 triumph in the varsity match and a 5-1 victory on the middle school level.
In volleyball, the CFCA middle school team remained unbeaten, the Eagles junior varsity took a 2-1 win and the Colts managed a 3-2 win in the varsity match.
Varsity boys soccer
Caden Scarborough had two goals early in the second half to give CFCA a 2-1 lead and Fisher Stancil found the net for a 3-1 advantage.
CFCA improved to 7-2-1 overall and 5-1 in the MCC as Justin Chestnut had eight saves.
“Proud of the effort and energy we had,” said Eagles coach Bill Parrish.
CFCA hosts Lee Christian for Senior Day on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Middle School boys soccer
Eli Shwaikeh scored three goals as the Eagles moved to 2-0 in the MCC.
Luke Turlington and Braxton Young also scored for the Eagles, who host Lee Christian on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
John Andemichael had an assist.
Varsity volleyball
The Eagles host Crossroads today and will get visit from league-leading Lee Christian on Tuesday for Pink-out Day.
JV volleyball
The Eagles continued a winning streak since a season-opening loss to improve to 8-1.
Middle School volleyball
CFCA is 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the MCC going into home matches at 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
