Eagles’ 1-A all-state athletes in fall sports receive medallions

Five athletes from Cape Fear Christian Academy who received all-state recognition from the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association in the 1-A classification were recognized Friday night before the varsity boys basketball game.

Bailey Dorman, who was Player of the Year in volleyball in the Mid-Carolina Conference, received her all-state medallion from Eagles coach Lolita Tripp.

Zeke Brock, who played soccer for the first time as a senior in 2023, and Caden Scarborough, who had 21 goals in 2023, received their medallions from assistant coach Ricky Scarborough, who stood in for Coach Bill Parrish.

Girls tennis coach Page Jackson presented medallions to Ella John Dupree and Karson Hamilton, the top two players on the NCISAA 1-A runner-up team from CFCA.

Dorman, Dupree and Scarborough repeated as all-state selections in their respective sports.

Brock also has made all-state in basketball.
