Visiting Bradford Academy topped Cape Fear Christian Academy, 2-1, in a Mid-Carolina Conference varsity girls soccer match on Tuesday.
The Eagles had defeated the host Archers, 3-1, on March 19.
“They played us differently on defense this time,” said CFCA coach Beth Brocious. “They really packed it back.”
The Eagles got a goal Tuesday on a penalty kick by Ella John Dupree in the first half to tie the score.
CFCA pressured offensively late in the game.
“We couldn’t get one to go in,” Brocious said.
Bradford improved to 3-5 overall and 2-3 in the MCC.
Grace Viox had 19 saves for the Eagles.
CFCA slipped to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in league play going into a home match with Lee Christian (1-6, 0-3 MCC) on Tuesday at 5:15 p.m.
