The Buies Creek Astros took their third straight win via shutout, 3-0, over Myrtle Beach at Jim Perry Stadium on Monday night as Abdiel Saldana (2-0) and Jorge Alcala (save, 1) combined for a one-hitter.

Saldana went five innings and allowed no hits while walking two and striking out a pair. Alcala fanned seven.

Ronnie Dawson went 2-for-3 with a double and scored twice. Abraham Toro was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Buies Creek (7-5) hosts the Pelicans (3-9) tonight (Tuesday, April 17) at 7 p.m.

The Astros share first in the Carolina League Southern Division with the Winston-Salem Dash (7-5).
