Bailey gets point in state swim meet

Triton sophomore Josiah Bailey scored a point for the Hawks in the NCHSAA 3-A swim meet at Cary on Thursday with a 16th-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle.

Bailey had a time of one minute, 52.43 seconds in the preliminaries and was clocked in 1:53.26 in the finals on Thursday night.

He also swam in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing 19th in 5:09.24.

Soph Scotty Temple competed in the girls 100-yard backstroke for Triton, turning in a time of 1:09.98 in the prelims.
