Registration is going on in Erwin for youth baseball and softball.
Baseball leagues include T-ball, 8-and-under (coach pitch), 10-and-under (Midgets), 12-and-under ((Little League) and 15-and-under (Junior League).
Softball leagues include 8-and-under (coach pitch), 10-and-under, 12-and-under and 15-and-under.
Determining dates for age are May 1 for baseball and Jan. 1 for softball. Birth certificates are required at registration.
Erwin is affiliated with Tar Heel Leagues.
Deadline for registration is Feb. 24. Those signing up after that date may be put on a waiting list.
Weekday registration is at Town Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration also will be taken at Town Hall on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Registration fees are $25 for town residents and $45 for out-of-town residents. After Feb. 24, the fees increase to $35 for in-town and $55 for out-of-town.
