BUIES CREEK — A three-run sixth inning lifted the Buies Creek Astros to a 3-1 Carolina League baseball win over the Winston-Salem Dash on Tuesday night at Jim Perry Stadium.

Abraham Toro drove in Alfredo Angarita with the tying run, J.J. Matijevic had the go-ahead RBI that plated Ronnie Dawson and Toro scored the third run on a sacrifice fly by Chas McCormick.

Abdiel Saldana (4-0) pitched four scoreless innings in relief of starter Jorge Alcala for the win.

The Astros (23-15) have a two-game lead in the Southern Division.

Buies Creek hosts Winston-Salem tonight at 6 p.m.
