Carlos Canelon went 3-for-4 with an RBI as the Buies Creek Astros topped visiting Winston-Salem 5-2 on Thursday night.

The Astros completed a three-game sweep of the Dash and moved into first place in the Carolina League Southern Division second half baseball standings.

Osvaldo Duarte was 2-for-2 with a run driven in for Buies Creek.

Astros pitchers Tyler Ivey (five innings, five strikeouts), Cristian Javier (4-4) and Colin McKee (sixth save) combined for 11 strikeouts.
