Lynchburg scored three runs in the second inning with the help of a pair of bases-loaded walks and the Hillcats added four runs in the third on the way to a 7-3 win over the visiting Buies Creek Astros on Wednesday night.
Luke Wakamatsu had a three-run double for the hosts in the third.
The Hillcats took advantage of eight walks and overcame four errors.
Josh Rojas and Abraham Toro-Hernandez had two hits each for Buies Creek, which plays its first home game tonight (Thursday, April 12) at 7 p.m. against the Salem Red Sox.
