The Buies Creek Astros took a 6-2 Carolina League baseball win over visiting Myrtle Beach on Tuesday night, outhitting the Pelicans, 9-3.

Troy Sieber was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Buies Creek (8-5), which moved into first place in the Southern Division.

Chas McCormick was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Ronel Blanco (1-0) got the win in relief.

The teams play again tonight at 7.
