Beth Best said her last day as athletic director at Midway will be Wednesday.

Best will be moving into a position as assistant principal at Midway and Hobbton elementary schools.

Best has served as athletic administrator during a successful period for the Raiders.

Sources have told John Lucas of Dunn Area Sports that Jason Fussell will resume as athletic director.

Fussell relinquished the post when he was head coach in baseball and football at Midway to spend more time with his family.

Fussell stepped down as head football coach after the 2017 season. He continues to coach the Raiders in baseball, winning the East Central 2-A Conference championship last spring.
