Bordeaux leads CFCA with perfect game, five RBIs at Village

Kim Bordeaux pitched a perfect game for Cape Fear Christian.

Kim Bordeaux of Cape Fear Christian Academy’s varsity softball team struck out seven of the nine batters she faced in a perfect game Wednesday at Village Christian. She also had three hits and five runs batted in as the Eagles improved to 5-0 in the Sandhills Athletic Conference with a 22-0 win in three innings.

CFCA is 6-2-1 overall entering a COVID pause that began Thursday. The Eagles plan to be back for the NCISAA 1-A playoffs.

Cailee Ray, Averi Williams and McKenzie Burris had two RBIs each at Village. Mariah Bell had three hits and scored four runs. Ray and Burris had two hits each. Bell, Anslee McLamb and Rhyleigh Horne had one RBI apiece.

Bell and Horne each had triples. Bell, Ray and Bordeaux each had doubles.

Cailee Ray caught the perfect game at Village on Wednesday.
