Bradley Wilson of Western Harnett signs for baseball with East Carolina

Bradley Wilson of Western Harnett signed Wednesday to play baseball at East Carolina.

Wilson was 6-3 on the mound for the Eagles last season with a 2.08 earned run average. Wilson had five complete games for Western, which went 14-15 overall and reached the third round of the NCHSAA 3-A playoffs. The right-hander had 84 strikeouts in 67 and one-third innings pitched.

Wilson was also productive at the plate although he projects as a pitcher for the Pirates.

As a junior, Wilson hit .348 with three home runs and 14 RBIs.

ECU was nationally-ranked for most of the 2018 season and won the American Athletic Conference tournament.
