After hitting .392 in 2023 and helping Triton to the second round of the NCHSAA 3-A baseball playoffs, Braxton Davis signed Wednesday to play on the next level at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro.

Davis had 27 RBIs with six doubles and one home run as the Hawks went 21-5.

Davis was 4-1 as a pitcher as a junior with a 3.71 earned run average.

Davis played goalie in soccer as a senior this fall with a 2.0 goals against average in 21 games. Triton was 22-2 with a perfect record in the All American Conference to claim the league’s regular season and tournament titles.

Former Clemson player Ben Hall is the coach at A&T. The Aggies were 19-28 overall with an 11-17 record in the Coastal Athletic Association in 2023.

Braxton Davis was seated with his parents, Kevin and Dana, at the signing ceremony Wednesday. Standing from left are assistant athletic director Mark Whitman, baseball coach David Reece, former baseball coach Joey Miriello, assistant baseball coach Tanner Ferguson, assistant baseball coach Ben Penny and principal Marshall Jones.
