After hitting .392 in 2023 and helping Triton to the second round of the NCHSAA 3-A baseball playoffs, Braxton Davis signed Wednesday to play on the next level at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro.
Davis had 27 RBIs with six doubles and one home run as the Hawks went 21-5.
Davis was 4-1 as a pitcher as a junior with a 3.71 earned run average.
Davis played goalie in soccer as a senior this fall with a 2.0 goals against average in 21 games. Triton was 22-2 with a perfect record in the All American Conference to claim the league’s regular season and tournament titles.
Former Clemson player Ben Hall is the coach at A&T. The Aggies were 19-28 overall with an 11-17 record in the Coastal Athletic Association in 2023.
