Noah Bridges completes freshman season at UNCW

Noah Bridges of South Johnston completed his freshman season in UNC Wilmington’s baseball program on Monday as the Seahawks finished second to South Carolina in the Greenville regional of the NCAA tournament.

The Gamecocks advanced to a Super Regional at Arkansas with an 8-4 win over UNCW.

Bridges went 3-for-4 on Saturday with a run and an RBI in a 9-7 win over East Carolina in an elimination game.

The Seahawks went 39-23 in 2018.

Bridges hit .247 with 12 RBIs in his first college season. His exceptional speed allowed him to steal 14 bases in 17 attempts.
