Terry Sanford won make-up varsity basketball games at Triton on Friday after a water line break a week earlier caused the All American Conference matchups to be postponed.

The Lady Bulldogs won, 65-50, as Miya Giles-Jones had 20 points. Terry Sanford won the boys game, 61-49.

The Triton boys were without coach T.J. Morrison as he served a suspension for being ejected at South Johnston on Thursday night. The Hawks slipped to 5-4 overall and 0-3 in league play despite 14 points from Will Heard.

Morrison planned to speak to the team before the game and sit in the parking lot as the contest was played. Junior varsity coach Jimmy Holbrook filled in for Morrison.

Romello Pegues and J.J. Cowan had 12 points each for Triton. Jalen Evans added six points, five assists and three steals in the setback.

The Bulldogs (3-2, 1-1 AAC) were led by 16 points from Carlos Craig.

In the girls game, the Lady Hawks (5-4, 0-3) got 16 points from JaNiah Smith. Abby Hood added 11 points for the Triton girls.

Hood hit three shots from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter as the Hawks outscored the visitors, 22-14.
