BUIES CREEK — The Campbell men’s basketball team took control of its Big South Conference contest with Longwood at Gore Arena on Saturday with a 25-1 run in the first half and the Camels cruised to an 88-54 win.

Chris Clemons had 25 points as CU improved to 14-12 overall and 8-6 in the league. Andrew Eudy’s line included 18 points, six rebounds, eight assists and three blocks. Jordan Whitfield and Marcus Burk scored 11 points each for the Camels.

The hosts sank 57 percent of their field goal tries in dealing Longwood (6-21, 3-11) its eighth straight loss. The Lancers haven’t won since topping CU 76-62 in Farmville, Va., on Jan. 15.

Campbell made 16 shots from beyond the arc.

The Camels visit Radford on Thursday for a 9 p.m. tipoff on ESPNU.
