Campbell baseball climbs in national rankings

BUIES CREEK — Campbell climbed in all the polls after going 3-1 on the week and sweeping Winthrop on the weekend to improve to 15-3, 3-0 in the Big South.

The Fighting Camels moved up one spot to No. 18 in the D1Baseball poll. The new mark resets the highest ranked the program has ever achieved, previously set last week at No. 19.

Campbell entered at No. 21 in the Baseball America poll for the first time this season.

Campbell also sits at No. 17 in the Perfect Game rankings, up three spots from a week ago.

The Camels next action is a top-20 matchup with No. 10 ECU at Segra Stadium in Fayetteville on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
