The Campbell basketball teams tipped off the 2018-19 season Thursday with their annual fan fest, Homecoming HOOPla, at Gore Arena.
This year’s Hawaiian-themed event featured introductions of the basketball and wrestling teams. There were shooting drills, a dunk contest, on-court promotions and an autograph session.
The Campbell cheerleaders and dance team performed.
HOOPla tipped off a full schedule of Campbell Athletics events surrounding the annual Homecoming Weekend in Buies Creek. Campbell hosted Radford on Friday in a Big South volleyball match at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, the Camel women’s swim team hosts Georgia Southern at 11 a.m., while the wrestling team presents its annual Orange & Black scrimmage at 11:30 a.m., outside the Pope Convocation Center.
After the basketball team tips off at noon, Campbell entertains Gardner-Webb in the annual Homecoming football game at 4 p.m. The day wraps with a Big South Conference men’s soccer match at 7 p.m. when UNC Asheville visits Buies Creek.
On Sunday, fourth-seeded Campbell hosts fifth seed Charleston Southern at 2 p.m. in the quarterfinal round of the Big South women’s soccer tournament.
