BUIES CREEK – Campbell earned a 1-1 draw against unbeaten N.C. State in women’s soccer on Thursday night at the Eakes Athletics Complex.
Annika Wohner scored in the 23rd minute for N.C. State (1-0-2) after her free kick at the top of the 18-yard box found the upper right corner.
The Camels (0-1-1) responded in the 53rd minute as Elyssa Nowowieski scored her first goal of the season following Hayley Krahenbil’s blocked shot.
“I am very proud with a majority of the performance from our team tonight,” said Camels coach Samar Azem. “We played a very good N.C. State team very well. I thought they tested us and I thought we tested them right back.”
