Central boys top Western on AAC opening night, Lady Eagles prevail

Western Harnett traveled to Harnett Central on Tuesday night to open varsity basketball play in the All American Conference.

Western’s girls won, 35-10, before the Central boys posted a 79-45 victory.

Nick Avery had 13 points for the Central boys, who imporoved to 4-1 overall going into a game at West Johnston tonight.

Destin McLean had 11 points for the Trojan boys. Chris Mills and Quez Jones added nine points each.

Jones had seven assists and four steals.

Western hosts South Johnston on Thursday night.
