Central goes 3-0 on Senior Night for Hawk wrestlers

With Triton hosting Harnett County and All American 3-A/4-A Conference rival Harnett Central and non-conference opponents 71st and Neuse Charter for Senior Night on Wednesday, the Trojans went 3-0 in team competition on the night, while the host Hawks went 2-1.

Harnett Central won 48-30 against Triton, 54-12 against Neuse Charter and 42-24 against 71st. Triton won 40-19 against 71st and 60-6 against Neuse Charter. 71st defeated Neuse Charter in the remaining match.

Prior to the match, Triton honored two seniors: Antoine Mosley and Malachi Nettles.

For Harnett Central, at 126 pounds, Cade Wood took three forfeit wins. At 132, Jay Mewborn won by pinfall against Triton and 71st and by forfeit against Neuse Charter. At 138, Martin Mendez won by pinfall against Triton and by forfeit against 71st and Neuse Charter. At 145, Edward Lopez won by pinfall against Triton and by forfeit against 71st and Neuse Charter. At 152, Deshawn Carty won by pinfall against 71st and Neuse Charter and by forfeit against Triton. At 160, Wade Johnson won by pinfall against Triton, by an 18-3 technical fall against 71st and by forfeit against Neuse Charter. At 182, Jose Zambrano won by pinfall against Triton and by forfeit against Neuse Charter. At 195, Matthew Williamson won by pinfall against Triton and by forfeit against Neuse Charter and 71st. At 285, Jaquan Elliot won by pinfall against Neuse Charter.
