Central scores first but Apex rallies for 30-7 win

Harnett Central took a 7-0 lead over visiting Apex, but the Cougars came back for a 30-7 nonconference varsity football win on Friday night.

De’Andre McAllister scored on a keeper as the Trojans went ahead with 1:15 left in the first quarter.

Apex rallied to lead, 10-7, at the half.

The Cougars improved to 2-1.

Central (0-2) is scheduled to make up a game at Sanderson (1-0) on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
