Harnett Central never trailed in a 12-6 Tri-County Six 3-A Conference varsity softball win over visiting Lee County on Friday night.

Fallon Wimberly and Ansley Lee pitched for the Trojans, who escaped a bases-loaded jam with no outs in the fourth on a double play and a strikeout.

Lee had topped the Trojans, 7-2, on Tuesday night in Sanford.

HC starts a league series with Southern Lee at home on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
