Visiting Harnett Central and Triton each came into Monday night’s showdown in the All American Conference without a loss in league play.
The Trojans scored first and never trailed in topping the Hawks, 3-1.
Central improved to 5-2 overall and moved into sole possession of first place in the league with a 4-0 record going into a conference match at home against Western Harnett on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Triton (8-3-1, 3-1) visits Terry Sanford (10-4, 4-1) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Axel Cuellar scored unassisted for the Trojans in the 12th minute for a 1-0 lead.
Logan Stroud scored on a corner kick from Cuellar in the 35th minute.
Luke Adams assisted Kevin Aparina Tolentino at 37:55 as the Trojans went ahead, 3-0.
Benny Villalvazo registered the Hawks’ goal on a penalty kick at 38:18.
Deshawn Carty was in goal for the Trojans. There was no scoring in the second half.
