River Ennis and Aubrey Jackson of Cape Fear Christian Academy won the North Carolina Student Angler Federation Junior Division championship on Saturday, May 30, at Lake Tillery.

It was the second straight state championship for a CFCA duo. Ennis teamed with his younger brother, Reed, for the title in 2019.

Ennis and Jackson earned a berth in the national championship competition July 29-31 at Mosquito Lake in Ohio.

In related news, Brian Ennis, River’s dad, has been named state director of the Student Angler Federation.
