CFCA boys teams take road wins in contrasting fashion

Boys basketball teams from Cape Fear Christian Academy took a pair of wins at Southern Wake Academy on Monday night.

The CFCA junior varsity boys improved to 4-0 with a 43-40 win as Zeke Brock scored 13 points.

The CFCA varsity boys (5-1) had an easier time with a 62-16 triumph. The CFCA varsity outscored the hosts 19-0 in the first quarter.

E.J. Bethea had 15 points. Parker Watson scored 12, including three 3-pointers in the first quarter. Riley Adams contributed six points and 10 rebounds. Michael Okoye made all three of his field goal attempts in adding six points. Okoye had seven rebounds, five assists and blocked three shots.

Owen Gregory and Deshaun Woods each had nine points for the junior Eagles. Reid Miller scored six for CFCA. Dolan Adams tallied three. Jaden Crumley added two points and Jakson Cullen rounded out the scoring with one point.
