CFCA boys turn back Village, 85-58

Cape Fear Christian Academy’s varsity boys basketball team defeated visiting Village Christian, 85-58, on Tuesday night to improve to 17-6 overall and 4-0 in the Sandhills Athletic Conference.

The Eagles outscored the Knights 27-10 in the second quarter to lead 45-22 at halftime.

Truman Claytor had 24 points for CFCA. Cinque Lemon netted 16. Kaleb Siler scored 12 and Caden Bell added 10. Amari Pearson and Tristin Harkins finished with nine points each. Deshawn Woods had three points and Jabare Perry tallied two.

Myles Eakins led Village with 22 points.

There was no varsity girls game because the Village team is on quarantine.

CFCA visits Fayetteville Christian on Friday.
