Cape Fear Christian Academy’s middle school volleyball team steadily improved to gain a split of Southeastern Conference matches with visiting Village Christian on Monday.
The hosts lost the first set by scores of 25-7 and 25-14.
After dropping the first set of the second match, 25-19, the Eagles forced a deciding set with a 25-20 victory.
After taking an 11-1 lead, CFCA held off a comeback by the Knights to capture the deciding set in the second match, 15-10.
The Eagles visit the O’Neal School of Southern Pines on Thursday.
