Cape Fear Christian Academy defeated visiting O’Neal School, 9-0, in girls tennis at Triton on Monday.
Ella John Dupree won the No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0. The top four singles were all decided in straight sets with Nina Sauer, Aubrey Jackson and Anna Jackson taking the Nos. 2-4 matches.
Karson Hamilton won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 and Savannah Autry prevailed 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6.
Dupree and Sauer teamed in the No. 1 doubles, Jackson and Jackson were paired at No. 2, and Hamilton and Autry combined at No. 3.
The unbeaten Eagles travel to Greenfield on Friday. The Knights knocked CFCA out of the NCISAA 1-A playoffs last year.
