CFCA girls tennis wins at Triton

Cape Fear Christian Academy’s girls tennis team improved to 3-0 in nonconference matches with a 9-0 win at Triton on Tuesday.

Singles winners at Nos. 1-6 for the Eagles were Ella John Dupree, Nina Sauer, Aubrey Jackson, Anna Jackson, Karson Hamilton and Savannah Autry.

Lily Kate Dupree had an exhibition win for CFCA.

Doubles winners were Ella John Dupree and Sauer at No. 1, Jackson and Jackson at No. 2, and Hamilton and Autry at No. 3.

The match was scheduled Monday. CFCA had a match postponed and the Hawks had a void in their league schedule.

“One of the most complete matches we have ever played,” said Eagles coach Page Jackson. “Everyone played hard through a very hot day against a good Triton team.”
