Cape Fear Christian Academy’s second annual “Fearless” Softball Camp is scheduled for Saturday, July 14, beginning with sign-in at 8:30 a.m.

Cost is $100. The camp is for ages 8 and older.

The camp will be conducted at the CFCA softball field. The school is located at 138 Erwin Chapel Road off of U.S. 421.

Participants will receive instruction in fielding fundamentals, footwork, throwing mechanics, batter’s loading position and all elements of softball hitting and bunting.

The fielding clinic will start at 9 a.m. A pizza lunch will be provided at noon. The hitting clinic will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the session will wrap up at 4:30 p.m.

Campers need to wear appropriate clothing and shoes. They should bring gloves and sports drinks. Optional items include sunscreen, sunglasses, hats and snacks.

The clinic will be conducted by professional instructors and former collegiate players.
