CFCA hosts Senior Classic

Cape Fear Christian Academy starts its high school basketball season tonight by hosting the annual Senior Classic.

The event will mark the varsity coaching debut of Dwain Ellis, who has previously guided the junior varsity boys program. Ellis will direct the CFCA girls and boys this seasson.

The CFCA varsity teams match up with Berean Baptist tonight. The Lady Eagles are scheduled to play at 7 p.m. with the CFCA boys to follow.

The classic gets underway at 4 p.m. with Fayetteville Christian’s girls opposing Father Capodanno. Village Christian’s boys face Father Capodanno at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday’s schedule starts with the girls consolation game at 11 a.m. The boys consolation game is at 12:30 p.m. The girls championship is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the boys final is at 3:30 p.m.

Admission is $5 per spectator each day with a $20 family cap per day.
