Cape Fear Christian Academy held on to second place in the second and final round of the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association 1-A golf tournament at Jamestown Park Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Eagles finished with a team score of 536 after totaling 272 on Tuesday. Final rounds included an 85 from Cade Godwin, an 87 from Ben Thompson and a 100 from Hunter Roberts.
Thompson was at 164 for 36 holes. Godwin shot 173 and Roberts finished at 199.
Northeast Academy (453) won the team title and Preston Ordnung of Northeast was the overall medalist at even par 144 over the layout, which played approximately 6,500 yards.
