CFCA middle school teams split with Berean Baptist

Cape Fear Christian Academy opened Southeastern Middle School Athletic Conference basketball play on Thursday by splitting games with visiting Berean Baptist.

The CFCA middle school boys won, 31-22, to improve to 2-0 overall as Brandon Surles scored 20 points. Landon Alphin had four points and Conner Parrish added three points. Lathan Wilborn and Elijah Ellis tallied two points each.

Berean won the girls game, 23-11, despite nine points by Lily Kate Dupree. Bailey Dunn had two points for CFCA.

Kariana Williams led the Berean girls with 21 points.

The Eagle middle school teams play again on December 3 at Fayetteville Christian.
